Enso

BRANDING | UX | ILLSTRATOR | PHOTOSHOP| TAFE

Challenged with developing a concept that incorporates elements of the Wabi Sabi philosophy, I opted to really throw myself in the deep end and create a dating app based around tranquility, imperfection and honesty.

I enjoy the research element of all briefs, I find that the best ideas come from this part of the creative process. In this case the research resulted in the logo: a combination of the ensō symbol, a famous image from zen practices (and closely linked to wabi sabi philosophies) and the idea of a fingerprint to portray a user’s uniqueness.

    Tipple Mag

    PRINT | TYPESETTING | INDESIGN | PHOTOSHOP

An in depth look into the hospitality and nightlife scene of Sydney. Championing small bars, high quality products, service and enlightening readers with carefully curated tips and tricks.

Before entering graphic design I had worked in hospitality, as many students do, having worked in and managed some of Sydney’s best venues I have a strong understanding of the ins and outs of the bar  world and the businesses and brands that are associated with it.

The challenge of designing this magazine gave me the ability to combine two aspects of my life that previously had sadly existed separately.

    NIDA Branding

MISC BRANDING | ADOBE | TAFE

Rebranding NIDA (National Institute of Dramatic Arts) was a great challenge, one that resulted in a brand identity that signals NIDA’s world class reputation and modern outlook, while also incorporating design elements that enable the brand to communicate it’s core creativity.

The rebranding project also included a series of posters for the upcoming theatre season as well as a season guide.

    A.R Opus

    PRINT | TYPOGRAPHY | TYPESETTING | INDESIGN

A design project focused on visualizing augmented reality in a book, which combined typography, illustration, and typesetting to create an immersive experience.

The project involved carefully designing layouts that integrated augmented reality elements seamlessly with traditional print. I developed custom illustrations to interact with the AR features, enhancing the reader's experience by bridging physical and digital worlds.

Typography played a critical role, as I had to ensure that the text was not only legible but also complemented the overall aesthetic of the AR content.

Through precise typesetting, I created a polished, cohesive design that brought the concept to life.

    PS40

    PACKAGING | ILLUSTRATION | ILLUSTRATOR | PHOTOSHOP

A few months ago I was asked by the people at PS40 to design a mug fortheir award winning Breakfast Negroni, all the good bits of a Negroni with Banana Bread, Tonka Bean and Coffee bean infused.

Inspired by the Great Wave Off Kanagawa, I enjoy using references from art history to inform and inspire my work. I wanted to modernise it and create a design that can be wrapped around the mug it is served in.

    Bonza

    MARKETING | ILLUSTRATION | PRINT |

As co-founder and creative director of Bonza Records, a record label and booking agency based out of Sydney, I was responsible for creating all event posters, digital and print.  From 2018 - 2020 we booked, organised, promoted and managed over 100 live music shows, all independent musicians from around the Sydney scene.

Bonza wrapped up due to the global pandemic but the experience gave me the skills to work with a very fast turnaround (often 1-2 days) period,  dealing with  multiple stakeholders to achieve a creative, eye catching and informative result.

    The Wind

ANIMATION | ILLUSTRATION |  AFTER EFFECTS |  ILLUSTRATOR

A slow burning ambient animation for Babe Rainbow’s single ‘The Wind’. A hypnotic and tranquil ride through a world of flowers, stars, rainbows and the life cycle of an ecosystem. 4 mins 17 secs.

    Packaging

    MISC PACKAGING |  ILLUSTRATOR |  PHOTOSHOP| TAFE

Multiple designs for packaging for a variety of products. The project required developing distinct packaging designs that reflected the unique qua lities of each product while maintaining a cohesive brand identity.

I carefully considered materials, colors, and typography to ensure the packaging was both functional and visually appealing.

The process involved researching target audiences and market trends to create designs that would resonate with consumers and stand out on the shelves.

    Illustration

    MISC ILLUSTRATION

Side projects, commissions and doodles. I’ve mainly used sketching as a step in my design process but when I have time I like to try my hand at works that are just for me.
